ChiliPepper Clinic

The typical Rochester salt wounds are all over Chilipepper. I have had the car 7 years now and keep putting off the "big paint job" Meanwhile the rust continues. I slowed it down 2 years back with a bottle of Rust Converter but.... So Saturday Eric and i headed off to Auto Zone for bondo, sandable primer and an abrasive fiber wheel for the drill. A small start for the summer. Eric is patiently working here in 90 degree sun.

Trying to diagnose the grumpy van this week. I borrowed a Digitool from my friend Joel to help with the diagnosis. Right off the bat - the Digitool revealed no signal from the Throttle Position sensor and bad values coming from the Temp 2 sensor. Today i removed the throttle and spent some time tweaking with the TPS. After that i swapped in a new Temp sensor. [ The bad one in there was only 2 years old!] The van was definitely running better. I plan to take it out on a run this evening. Hopefully i can everything fixed so i can go to DC next weekend.
